Coming off of a huge series win vs. the Cubs, the Brewers welcome Philadelphia to Milwaukee starting tonight at 7:10. After struggling vs. the AL Central, the Brewers have put together back-to-back series wins and are looking for number three this weekend. Suter takes the mound tonight vs. Arrieta. Followed by Guerra vs. Efflin on Saturday, and Anderson vs. Nola on Sunday. Entering tonight’s game the Brewers have a 1.5 game lead over the Cubs.

The Brewers are a little unlucky facing the Phillies best three pitchers this season, with their ace Aaron Nola throwing Sunday. They are just missing Vince Velasquez who they roughed up for 9 hits 10 runs in 3.2 innings last time they faced him.
With Brad Miller now in AAA playing shortstop, I can only imagine that Arcia and/or Sogards time in the MLB will be pretty short lived. Both have been awful at the plate this season and an upgrade is needed.
Brad Miller, who will hit around .240-.250, has some serious pop in his bat and can be a good contributor off the bench. Miller can also play SS, 2nd, and 1st.
#Brewers starting pitchers have produced a season-high 3 straight quality starts, posting a 0.47 ERA (19ip, 1er). The team is looking for 4 quality starts in a row for the first time since last 8/30-9/2. #MILvsPHI

Today’s #Brewers game notes also tell us this: Since a 2-6 start, the team has gone 18-6 (.750) at Miller Park, the highest home winning percentage in the majors since 4/17.
