NFBC ADP Round 7 and 8

NFBC Round 7

  1. Seung Hwan Oh
  2. Craig Krimbel
  3. Todd Frazier
  4. Ian Kinsler
  5. Kyle Schwarber
  6. Hanley Ramirez
  7. Roberto Osuna
  8. Chris Davis
  9. Cole Hamels
  10. Justin Upton
  11. Adrian Beltre
  12. Wade Davis

I think 90% of my love for Schwarber this season comes from watching him show up in the World Series and just destroy baseballs after having four ABs during the regular season. Maddon is saying he is going to bat lead-off for the Cubs. Definitely not your prototypical lead-off hitter, no SBs and RBI may be down hitting first but other than that he’s going to be good.

Hanley is sneaky a five category stat contributor. I like him here, especially coming off of a 30 HR and 111 RBI season.

I like Oakland’s Kris Davis more than Baltimore’s Chris Davis, move him down.

NFBC Round 8

  1. DJ LeMahieu
  2. Masahio Tanaka
  3. Ken Giles
  4. Wilson Contreras
  5. Anthony Rendon
  6. Alex Bregman
  7. Jose Ramirez
  8. Matt Kemp
  9. Kelvin Herrera
  10. Zack Greinke
  11. Kenta Maeda
  12. Jason Kipnis

LeMahieu just hits for average every year, including a .345 AVG and 104 Rs scored last season. If he hits towards the top of the line-up, he will be in good shape to continue hitting for a high average and can score a lot of runs in that line-up.

My love for Contreras is pretty apparent on this blog.

Jose Ramirez should be climbing all draft boards with the Kipnis injury, could see some innings over at 2nd base to help add another position eligibility. Francona came out and said he will hit 5th behind Encarnacion, a pretty good spot to hit. Should have Lindor, and Edwin is hitting in front of him. Eventually, Kipnis should be there in the mix as well. Three excellent hitters in front of him if he stays in the five spot.

Kipnis on the other hand, he has a shoulder injury, and they went to get a second opinion this week. 8th round pick isn’t worth the risk he should continue to drop down the draft boards.
