- Johnathan Lucroy-Texas
- Buster Posey-San Fransico
Lucroy and Posey are interchangeable at 1 and 2. Really comes down to preference, both are eligible to play 1st base as well.
*If Kyle Schwarber (Chicago Cubs) is C eligible he is a Tier 1 guy
- Wilson Contreras-Chicago
- Gary Sanches-New York Yankees
- J.T. Realmuto-Miami
I think Contreras is the top guy here in tier 2, especially because he should be C and OF eligible. That is awesome stuff for fantasy, Sanchez should turn out to be a stud too, I just hesitate to trust his numbers with such little MLB experience.
If you can get Realmuto, he is worth the take especially at his 112 ADP. He can hit .300 with 10 HR 50 RBI 50 R plus give you 10 SB. I like him at his ADP.
*If Wilson Ramos (Tampa) were healthy he would be here
- Yasmani Grandal (Los Angeles Dodgers)
- Salvador Perez (Kansas City)
- Evan Gattis (Houston)
Grandal is going to be a cheap source of power and RBI but I wouldn’t expect anything in the average, or runs categories. But, 25 HR and 70 RBI could easily happen. I am not a fan of Perez, but I would roster him as a second C if needed. Over the last six seasons his average has dropped each year, to a career low .247. He also won’t help much with average but can contribute 20 HR 50 RBI and 50 R.
- Stephan Vogt (Oakland)
- Russell Martin (Toronto)
- Yadier Molina (St. Louis)
- Brian McCann (Houston)
- Wellington Castillo (Baltimore)
- Matt Wieters (Washington)
Vogt is one of my favorites by a long shot in this tier. Average ADP around 200, cheap option for a second, average won’t be there but should be able to give 15 HR and 50 RBI. Wieters is going around that same 200 ADP but can give you a little more in the power department. Can’t go wrong with either guy if you wait on catching.
